I love to see stories about my favorite game really helping people, or in the case of an upcoming charity bingo game in Johnsburg, animals.
Illinois bingo players will be gathering together at the Moose Lodge in Johnsburg on the 21st of this month buying bingo cards, and helping out animals.
Half of the money raised will be set aside for a no kill shelter in Illinois, I think that’s just great. In fact, I think that might be the only downside to online bingo.
When people play live bingo, there’s usually a charity benefactor, but without regulation in the United States, that doesn’t really happen. It’s more of a business that creates an online community, but less is given back to the physical community.
It’d be neat to see online bingo halls helping out charities like Pets in Need, a charity in Illinois that has been helping out poochies in the local community for more than 20 years, actually, I asked someone, and the charity has found homes for about 20,000 animals. Wow.
I’m still playing online bingo, I couldn’t give up my roomies! In fact, I’m playing tonight with the girls at Desperate Housewives Bingo, while I am writing this in fact (lol), but, I sure wish there was legalization, and maybe a bit more giving back.
